Medaka Box

An anime adaptation of the manga produced by Gainax was announced by the series' creator in late 2011, and premiered on April 5, 2012. The anime has been licensed by Sentai Filmworks who will release the anime in both digital and home video formats later.

At her first year in Hakoniwa Academy, Medaka Kurokami is elected Student Council President and institutes a suggestion box, dubbed the "Medaka Box" for her fellow academy students to make suggestions and requests. Together with her childhood friend Zenkichi Hitoyoshi, Medaka is determined to adress any kind of request by the students, from finding lost dogs to cleaning up club buildings and even fixing personalities. During the course of the series, Kouki Akune and Mogana Kikaijima are also recruited by Medaka to become part of the Student Council.

Medaka Kurokami (黒神めだか Kurokami Medaka)

Voiced by: Aki Toyosaki

She is the female protagonist of the series and 98th Student Council President of Hakoniwa Academy. Beautiful and well-endowed, which she has no shame in showing off whenever possible, Medaka excels academically, placing first in the national test. In addition to her academic achievements, she has excelled in various other areas, such as calligraphy and sports, and obtained seemingly inhuman results. When the series begins, she has just been elected the new student council president by an unheard-of margin of 98% of the total votes, even though she is still only a first-year student. Medaka institutes a suggestion box in which students can drop suggestions for various tasks that the students feel would improve the academy.

Zenkichi Hitoyoshi (人吉善吉 Hitoyoshi Zenkichi)

Voiced by: Yūki Ono

He is the male protagonist, childhood friend of Medaka, and the Student Council General Affairs Manager. He reluctantly joined for the sake of protecting Medaka. In the pilot chapter, Medaka assigns him to become the Vice President. Zenkichi always shows enthusiasm toward Medaka's cause for helping others, and he will punish anyone who opposes that cause. It is later revealed that he is the one who reformed Medaka into her current personality. It is implied he has feelings for her.

Hansode Shiranui (不知火半袖 Shiranui Hansode)

Minus Name: Real Eater (正喰者 Riaru Ītā)

Voiced by: Emiri Katō

She is the granddaughter of the Headmaster of Hakoniwa Academy. Zenkichi regards her as his best friend; he is apparently the only person who can get along with her and somewhat control her. Even though she is the smallest of the main characters, Shiranui has a very large appetite and is constantly seen eating. She has a knack for finding clandestine information with ease, knowing about most things that would seem to be vague details, and is unusually perceptive. Normally, she is a very cheerful girl but she is shown to have a dark side and is brutally tactless.

Kouki Akune (阿久根高貴 Akune Kouki)

Voiced by: Daisuke Namikawa

The Student Council Secretary and the oldest member of the Student Council, Akune is a second year student in contrast to Medaka, Zenkichi, and Kikaijima, who are in their first year. Originally part of the judo club, Akune has been infatuated with Medaka since middle school and hates Zenkichi for being able to spend so much time with her.

Mogana Kikaijima (喜界島もがな Kikaijima Mogana)

Voiced by: Ai Kayano

Originally the ace of the swim team, Kikaijima serves as the treasurer of the Student Council. She has an incredible obsession with money for personal reasons and want to gain enough money to fill a pool and swim in it.

A second anime season, titled Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? of the Dead (これはゾンビですか? オブザデッド Kore wa Zonbi Desu ka? Obu za Deddo), first announced in the July issue of Monthly Dragon Age, aired on April 5, 2012 on Tokyo MX, with subsequent broadcast runs on TVQ, Sun TV, Gifu Broadcasting System, Inc., Mie TV, BS11, Chiba TV, TV Kanagawa, TV Saitama and AT-X. The second season is licensed by Funimation Entertainment for simulcast on their video portal.

Dusk Maiden of Amnesia (Tasogare Otome × Amnesia)

The story revolves around a first-year middle school student, Teiichi Niiya who had just enrolled at Seikyou Private Academy. When he gets lost in one of the school's old building, he meets a girl named Yuuko Kanoe who reveals herself as a ghost with no memories. Teiichi then decides to investigate her death by looking through the school's seven mysteries revolving around her. Throughout the story, Teiichi and Yuuko discover the truth about these ghost stories and help those who are troubled.

Characters

Teiichi Niiya (新谷貞一 Niiya Teiichi): Voiced by: Tsubasa Yonaga; The main protagonist. He joins the Paranormal Investigations club made by Yuuko in order to find more information on Yuuko's death. As he interacts with Yuuko, the two eventually fall in love with each other.

Yuuko Kanoe (庚夕子 Kanoe Yuuko): Voiced by: Yumi Hara; Mainly known as "Yuuko-san" from the ghost stories in the school, she is the infamous ghost of Seikyou Academy and the President of the Paranormal Investigations club. She is cheerful and enjoys tricking people, but gets very jealous and angry when a girl tries to get close to Teiichi.

Momoe Okonogi (小此木ももえ Okonogi Momoe): Voiced by: Misato Fukuen; A member of the Paranormal Investigations Club. She is indebted to Teiichi for saving her from the Underground demon legend (which was fabricated by Yuuko) and looks for many ghost stories in the school to help the club. So far, she is the only main character who cannot see Yuuko.

Kirie Kanoe (庚霧江 Kanoe Kirie): Voiced by: Eri Kitamura; A member of Paranormal Investigations club, she is the only character other than Teiichi to be able to see Yuuko and has a fear of ghosts. She originally believed that Yuuko was an evil spirit until she learns the truth she wasn't. Accel World

In the year 2040, Neuro-synchronization, a technology system that allows humans to manipulate their five senses, has become widespread; people can access the internet and enter virtual worlds. Haruyuki "Haru" Arita is a short, fat boy who due to constant bullying has low-self esteem. To escape the torment of real life, he logs-in to the school's virtual world network where he plays squash alone and always gets the highest score.

One day Haru attracts the attention of the Student Council Vice-President Kuroyukihime who offers him Brain Burst, a secret program which allows a person to make time appear to stand still in their surroundings by "accelerating" their brainwaves in the real world. Unfortunately, there is a limit to how many times a person can accelerate; Brain Burst points are used and the primary way to get more points is to fight and defeat other Brain Burst users in the program's virtual reality massive multiplayer online (VRMMO) fighting game. However, if a user loses all of his/her points the Brain Burst program will uninstall itself and block all re-installation attempts, thus permanently removing the user's ability to accelerate.

Kuroyukihime wants Haru's help as she wishes to reach Level 10 and meet the creator of Brain Burst to learn its true purpose. But in order to do that, she must defeat five other Level 9 users who just so happen to be from "The Six Kings of Pure Color", the leaders of the six most powerful factions in the Brain Burst world. For helping him, Haru agrees to help Kuroyukihime not only to repay her but to overcome his weaknesses.

Natsuiro Kiseki

Natsuiro Kiseki (A Summer-Colored Miracle) is a Japanese anime television series produced by Sunrise and directed by Seiji Mizushima. The series began airing on April 6, 2012 on MBS.

At a Shinto shrine, there is a large rock. It is said that if four close friends gather around the rock and all wish for the same thing, that wish will come true. As four friends, Natsumi, Saki, Yuka and Rinko, gather around the rock like they used to in their childhood, they soon find the rock can indeed grant people's wishes.
